A key member of the salon team, the Staff Trainer is responsible for the growth and development of the next generation of stylists, offering guidance and support, whilst encouraging and motivating the salon team, as well as acting as a mentor to the junior team members.

Having gained experience as an in-salon staff trainer and successfully completed Art Team training to Creative Direction. Dividing their time between the salon and teaching at the AN JOHN Academy, it is the responsibility of the Academy Educator to teach students and support the Artistic Team.

Offering a unique training opportunity, this pivotal role within the Academy structure assists and is mentored by the Artistic Team at the AN JOHN Academy. They are in part responsible for the Academy running smoothly, working under the direction of the Academy Manager to ensure that it is a clean and beautiful workspace.

AN JOHN Tutor/Assessors have a minimum of two years’ experience training and assessing in the salon and hold professional teaching qualifications. The AN JOHN apprentice’s career path is guided by the Tutor/Assessor and from day one they work in conjunction with employers to deliver theory, practical, functional skills training and assessment to apprentices.
